The Workshops do not offer credit, but opportunity. The student must register online for the in-person workshops which are offered at times more accessible to students, free from timetabled courses. The Language Center also has workshops for Specific Purposes such as Personal Statement writing, Resume writing, Public Speaking skills, all leading to overcoming shyness and building confidence. The volunteer nature to attend the workshops allows the first steps of confidence building to be in the feet of the students; they must be willing, enthused and daring to immerse themselves in the more intimate and effective presentations with Foreign teachers. The workshops are non-credit but valuable for the learning that enables English competency and fluency.
