English Advanced courses for L3 and L4 students are focused more so on academic communication. The students evaluated and placed at the 4th Level of English competency are also offered to freely select from these English academic electives to satisfy their first-year English requirement. They are not required to attend Communication classes nor do the online listening. The emphasis is on critical thinking and presentation through writing, speeches and debate. Fluency in English is required for attaining the highest marks. After attending intermediate reading and communication courses, L3 students are offered a variety of English electives to address academic attributes and interests. These electives focus more on writing and styles of presentation.
