The text material is academic in nature and designed to stimulate students to further study on their own, topics relevant to their writing. Paragraph and short essay forms are explored as well as basic research skills. Editing skills are also investigated. In addition to the textbook, teachers also utilize sources of reading from more recent publications. Speaking and representing are within a separate Speaking course that uses a resource that complements the more academic nature pursued.

The Language Center oversees the choice of resources in the form of text/workbooks that have proven to be effective in improving students’ ability and their interest in acquiring more efficient and accurate English.
